get a masters degree

It was an amazing experience. I was the only one of my cohort to finish in two years and one of two MA’s awarded at the ceremony. The other MA was an MA in Teaching. He was also a speaker. I was the last to enter the theater and the last person to receive a degree. I was on stage for what felt like forever. It is an experience that I will remember forever! Whoo hoo!

Oh yeah, I graduated with a 4.0!

My husband picked up my graduation attire today. The closer this gets, the crazier it seems. It’s time for the saga to end. I can almost take this off of my list.

I took the gear out of the package and the blue, white and yellow master’s hood thingymabob came out. I tried to put it on, but I have no idea what i am doing. I will leave the to the experts next week.

I just received my invitation to graduation! I am going to order my cap, gown, and hood on Monday. I also have to flanagle a few more tickets. I also just found out that I received an A in my last course. All I have to do is is defend on the 29th and figure out where I am going with my life from here. PhD? Writing? Community college teaching?

My first step, I think, will be to try and find some adjunct work for the next academic year. {sigh}

Not sure whether I should take this off and mark as completed because I have been cleared for graduation. I guess I will take it off when I walk on the 6th.

I have been cleared for graduation! I am going to walk, walk, walk! I still need good vibes sent my way as I prepare to defend my thesis on the 29th!

Please send good thoughts my way on that day and time. this is the day that I defend. My thesis is out of my hands right now and is being examined by my readers. I have one time to edit and then it’s OVER!

I will be defending my thesis in a couple of weeks. That’s all I can say…

I am deep into writing my thesis and I am loving it. This is the culmination of so much hard work, a couple of nervous breakdowns, and several rage-filled rants. I am looking forward to graduation!

I have jumped through hurdles, maintained a 3.0, worked my ass off, and now my final semester of my MA program has begun. I hav a gazillion pages to write and tons of research to do. I am going to get minimal sleep, but I am going to get my degree!

I’ll have my MA in 5 months! Yeah, baby!
