OK so I am not out of debt, but I am now in control of my finances – if that makes any sense?
My loan to consolidate my debt has been paid up in full and I am successfully managing what I would consider to be a minimal amount of credit.
I’m not sure I will ever be completely debt free, but in terms of the motivations I had for signing up to this debt free life – I would say I have now done this.

I’m out of my overdraft and credit cards are far more manageable.
Had a bit of an accident in March which put me in a precarious financial position with significant time off work, but it also made me consolidate my debt into a single structured loan.
Give it 9 months I plan to be completely debt free.

My number one goal as soon as I find employment will be to get out of debt. Student Loans, Student Overdrafts, Credit Cards… all bad.
I managed to pay off my overdraft and save a tidy sum last year when I worked for peanuts so there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to do it again once I gradduate!
