I’m loving my class! It’s a very intense course, but I love it a lot. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take further classes next semester. Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to continue.

In five weeks, I should know the basics of sign language! It’s gonna be really intense, but enjoyable! It’s been since HS that I was learning a new language – I’d forgotten how much I enjoy it!
I’m taking my first sign language course this summer! YAY! Seriously, this is a goal I’ve had since about 3rd grade – I cannot wait!
I was pretty bummed because I had the rest of my Bachelors degree planned out: this precise set of 25 courses to finish my degree – five semesters with five classes each. That left ZERO room for sign language…
HOWEVER, I’ve decided to take summer classes! This means that either A) I’ll take a signing class over the summer or B) it will open my schedule in a later semester so I can take the class. I’m SO excited to be starting on this goal!
I was SO excited, because my required coursework only had me taking 13 credit hours, so I knew I’d have plenty of time for Sign Language. The problem is that Sign Language and Video for Multimedia are both only offered once, and they’re at the same time (Video 1-4, SL, 3-4)
The only thing I can hope for is that I’ll go on to get my bachelor’s degree here, and I can take a course then…
I got an email from my school saying an 8-year-old boy needs to be taught to sign, as his mother is deaf and can’t read lips. My RA knew about my interest and asked me how well I can sign… I wish I knew sign language well enough – but maybe after next quarter, I’ll be able to.
I’ve always wanted to do this and I found out that my school offers this class in the Fall Quarter. When registration comes around I’m DEFINITELY going to register for the course, even if I don’t have a lot of time in the fall
