Does that make me a bad person?

The 18 y/o stepkid keeps insisting that she is going to take in her friend’s bastard child. (Trust me, I totally not judgmental, as I was a pregnant teenager myself. It is a bastard child)

The knocked-up buddy and the stepkid were disrupting class chatting about raising this child. My boyfriend got a call from the school yesterday. He was not pleased to get ANOTHER call from the school about this child. He let her know.

Today the child goes to school and threatens the teacher that did the calling. WTF???

The child gets kicked out of school. This is the second time this year. WTF???

The boyfriend tells her she is not to be on the phone or computer.

He comes home and guess what? She’s on the phone AND the computer!

Boyfriend is pissed. She declares that she is 18 and can do what she wants. Then she storms out.

Now she’s calling the boyfriend saying she’s staying with her friend for “a while”. He says if she is not home TONIGHT, she won’t have a home anymore.

As the actual homeowner, I agree. Thank gawd my kids are over their dad’s tonight and don’t have to witness this. It is a horrible example of how to behave and I will not live with this drama. She does not control the house. If she wants to live like trailer trash she will not do it here. This child has a lot of attitude for someone without a high school diploma OR a job.

Although, this child may be my ticket to the Springer Show.

She was robbed at gun point one street over from her dad’s.

I hate it that I can not protect her from everything.

M’s stepkid lives here with us. She’s 18, a senior in high school.

Last night she did the “Surly, can I talk to you alone” thing. This always scares me.

She asked if it would be OK if she took in her friend’s baby and raised it. Her friend, the boyfriend and the her all think this is a great idea.

WTF? Ummm… NO.

I just kept saying No. No. No. No. No. No.

I can’t understand this child. WTF? I remember being 18 and I never would have dreamed of asking to take in a baby!

My Jeep is STILL in Salt Lake City. It should have been home a week ago.

I do miss it. And the boyfriend too. I guess.

I’ve been driving the boyfriend’s car. It’s a POS to be sure, but infinitely better than a broke down Jeep in Utah.

Reminds me of Uncle Buck’s car.

Burning Man was an amazing life changing experience. Don’t laugh, it was!

It ended badly. Sunday, driving through the Salt Flat, my Jeep broke. Not sure what “broke”, U joint? which took out drive shaft? and brake lines and all kinds of bad stuff, I don’t know what all.

Lucky for me, all the repairs were under warranty. I’m a very lucky girl, my boyfriend handled the repairs and warranty crap for me.

I had to change my plane ticket to leave from Salt Lake City instead of Denver. Not cheap…

That’s not the bummer part yet.

The dealership in SLC said the parts were being shipped from a shop 15 minutes from my house here in Surlyville, ironic huh?

ANYWAYS, parts should have been there Friday. Yes, an inconvenience to be sure, but necessary. Jeep is broken. Mark stayed with the Jeep. I had to come home.

Parts didn’t come Friday and won’t be there until Monday.

And then two days to drive home.

I so miss him.

It’s just such a let down after an excellent vacation!

Twelve years later, Bandit is ready to go. That’s what Dad says anyways.

Dad made an appointment for THURSDAY??? I am horrified! The dog is so sick, he got a death sentence, but he’s not sick enough to go now?

This however makes me “insensitive”. WTF? I can’t understand those people I am related to.

Good Afternoon “Former Employer”,

I would love to help “Your Client” out with this but I have a problem with the way I am being spoken to and treated.

I can’t say for sure what “Mr. Boss’s” actual reaction is, since so much is lost in email. I could be misinterpreting his hostilities, but I don’t believe I am.

What I can say for sure is that when I got this project, it was a piece of junk written in 1991 with a DOS based language and since modified by bunch of untrained monkeys. I am not surprised the client is having problems with the program. It is one enormous HACK held together with duct tape and chewing gum. ANY programmer thrown into those circumstances without any documentation and nothing but oral tradition to track changes would have faced the same difficulties I have.

Honestly, the code and project isn’t the problem. I love a challenge, but quite frankly, I don’t feel the need to deal with a hostile work environment.

Kindly inform “Mr. Boss” I will no longer be available to help him on this, or any other project, and I’m am very sorry that “Your Client” is getting left in a bad position.
