Silence is better than unmeaning words.

I like the sentiment if not the actual phrasing.

Letting go

I like this quote a lot! Sessy posted it in one of her grat lists.

finish each day and be done with it. you have done what you could. some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. tomorrow is a new day. you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
- ralph waldo emerson

I’m consciously trying to do this everyday. Especially on the days when I’m feeling low or angry. I remind myself that I’m just being silly and let those feelings go.

Beautiful music

I found a link to my new favourite song today and I listened to it again and again for about 5 hours straight. This always happens to me when I listen to a tune I like. I’m still trying to understand some of the song. But it’s beautiful and very sad. And I was very depressed by the end of the day.
I researched the song a bit and found that it was written by a Urdu poet Momin Khan in the 1800s!
Some of the words go like this

Woh jo hum mein tum mein qaraar tha, tumhein yaad ho ke na yaad ho
Oh that mutual promise/agreement that existed between us, whether you remember or don’t…

The song can be found here Woh Jo Hum Mein Qaraar Tha. This is the best version I have heard so far, it’s sung by Abida Parveen

I was going through my mailbox and found this.

The key is to get to know people and trust them to be who they are. Instead, we trust people to be who we want them to be – and when they’re not, we cry.”

I can't think of a suitable title!

Prompted by my earlier entry about not posting on my blogs and yet rambling on 43T and the subsequent conversation with NYCinephile, I posted a music related entry Music and Memories in last.fm.
