Get a new job

....instead I’ve decided to work on my business and hopefully quit my job by the end of the year! Sounds like a much better plan to me :)

Today I made a HUGE decision. I’ve been miserable at my job for months now – I just find it so hard doing something I’m not passionate about.

Now that I’m so close to finishing studying I’ve been getting more and more excited about having my own business and being my own boss. Homeopathy and natural therapy really is my love, and I’ve felt like I’ve been betraying myself by staying where I am rather than pursuing my real dreams.

So today I decided to leave my job and told my manager. So it isn’t ‘official’ yet, but the decision has been made. I’m leaving my job and pursuing my own business. It’s actually happening…...I’m incredibly excited and nervous at the same time. But I’m also really proud. I feel like I’ve taken a huge step and proved that I believe in myself. I know it’s going to be hard work, but I really feel like I can make it. And if the worst happens and I don’t get enough clients I just get another part time job. Even the worst case scenario isn’t terrible! I’m so excited….this is a big new phase for me :)

Okay I’m back to despising it again. This job is so not me, and I just can’t dedicate myself to it like I should. The only positive (besides the money) is that it’s motivating me to get my business started.

I’m back on the job hunt.

....that I really need a new job, I have a good day at work. It’s so annoying! Deep down I know that this job isn’t ‘me’ and it gets be really down sometimes. But on the other hand I think to myself, well, it’s only a part time job while I finish studying and get my business up and running. Oh what to do?!? So I think, maybe just keep an eye out for other jobs and stay where I am until I find something that suits me more. Yep, sounds like a plan indeed.

....dropped my resume in at a funky kitchen and homewares store. They said they’d let me know by Thursday, so fingers crossed I suppose! There’s also a few more vacancies in my area, it’s just so hard deciding whether I want to work part time or fulltime. I’m just really consciously asking the universe for the right job, whether it is part time or full time. I just want to work somewhere where I am happy.

Yesterday I was in this funky homewares shop and they have a vacancy! I can really see myself working there….I just have to get a brilliant cover letter together and drop it in. I’m aiming to do it on Monday. Hmmm….I wonder if they have a staff discount….
