Was chatting with a friend of mine yesterday who’s got his time down to 19 minutes!! That is outstanding and encouraging too as we were level on exiting the swim at an Aquathon event not so long ago. I’ll be picking his brains on training sessions now.

I’ve always been keen on swimming and love the water. Since starting out in triathlon I’ve seen my swimming improve dramatically. Apart from doing plenty of training, good technique is essential. You can learn a lot from reading books, asking questions and just watching other (better) swimmers!
I’ve got a way to go for this goal. I’m usually out of the water between 23 and 24 minutes in Olympic distance triathlon races (1500m).
Longer strokes, longer strokes.
