I made a quiche today – from scratch, pastry and all, and what’s more, I kinda made the filling up as I went along and it turned out fabulous! More time at home means more time to cook, and my decision to go for an unprocessed vegetarian diet means I’ll have to do it myself mostly.
Suddenly very conscious of my nutrition. Eating meat was my excuse for a poor diet – now I can’t just eat whatever I feel like, I have to choose consciously, so it’s making me much more aware of what I eat.
By next week I want to be able to buy some different kinds of beans and lentils from the spice stall and know what to do with them!
