Went to visit the lovely Pippi Langstrumpf. It’s a 2 hour and 15 minute drive there and I took it nice and easy for the drive down. Wandered the shops on my own for an hour or so before venturing over to her place. Was lovely. Two days later it’s hard to believe that same road was closed off due to ice and snow!

mainly due to the rising petrol costs and a tight budget. But this weekend we went back to Coles Bay with our friends and we all took one car so making it a super cheap holiday as they have a caravan there. The only thing we paid for aside from half the petrol costs was our meal out on Saturday night (which sadly I got food poisoning from I think).
I think we’ll go and have breakfast at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm which is in between here and Devonport. They make absolutely delicious breakfasts. mmmmmmmm. Must ring tomorrow and book.
I didn’t really do this, but going to a party last night ‘out of town’ could sort of count I guess! Too busy this weekend with cleaning and cleaning to get out. Poor Tara has not been anywhere all weekend! oops. I feel bad about that. Daddy has promised to take her to the shops with her money saved to purchase more of the dreaded polly pocket crap.
this weekend. But I’m going to try. I am babysitting my niece and preparing for Molly’s birthday on Monday but I might drive out to Longford to the bakery there for birthday treats and a yummy hot chocolate whilst we’re there. A stop at the ultra cheap but good butchers out there will be required too.
Liffey Falls is in the Great Western Tiers of Tasmania, not too far from Deloraine. I love the Great Western Tiers. I think it’s a very understated attraction of Tassie. We made sandwiches and took some drinks and biscuits as well. Was lovely. Tara had such a great time and even had an afternoon nap in the car on the way home which is totally not like her at all!
was the destination for today. Pictures will be forthcoming but we had a lovely morning/lunch there. Such a beautiful spot to visit. Tara hasn’t been there since she was two and she loved it. We met Lumunoire, Petal and Acorn faeries along the way as well as a beautiful Mermaid in the Liffey River :-)
Thanks for the incentive/inspiration DustyJo. We love to do this and should commit to making it a weekly part of our lifestyle. I live in such a beautiful spot in Australia…it’s silly not to take advantage of that each week :-)
