Be an action star

I used to want to be an actor because most of my friends were successful at it and played the cheerleaders and the popular girls and football guys, but then I realized other things were more for me. And I know I am too old to play those kinds of rolls now and have had some allure to being more of a Tina Fey, Will Ferrel or Jane Lynch type. Though, I am not 100% acting is what I want to do. I loved it, but found the 5 minutes I pursued auditions to be kind of a pain. But now that there are movies like Hanna and Columbiana and they are making all of these women action-oriented films that star someone other than Angelina Jolie, I want to do that. I suppose it’s the first time I maybe regret turning down the Kill Bill stand-in double work. I have always been into martial arts and the fact is I’m a rare type…unless you go to Scandanavia. Then I’m a dime a dozen. Though, it’s probably a small number of them that have martial arts and fight training. It would even be cool just to double for an actress in an action film, ‘cause I’m not 100% I really want to be an actress and on camera in that capacity. Maybe I’m too self-conscious? Maybe just the fear of looking stupid and it being recorded. I don’t know, I just think it would be super fun to dress up as a bad a** and do stunts, more so than to be funny and sit-com-y.
