I went to Pottery Barn and got a really cool lamp and some neat picture frames that look great on my wall. I also found this picture that I’ve been wanting at World Market that was half the cost. That’s great because the price was the only thing holding me back. I’m actually excited about that pic because it is something I saw at my cousins that looked really nice and it is a great size to fill up that space. I also have another new standing lamp that matches the other one.
I feel like my room is really close to completion. Close enough that I could even stop where I am. But I feel there is something that needs to change in the desk area. Probably a new desk all together. But I would really like to start with the patio furniture I saw next, if I get the new job. It was really great furniture at a great price and I’ve been wanting one of those mosaic tables for about 10 years. This is the first one I’ve seen that isn’t around a thousand. It would look fabulous on the patio.
I’m so pleased with the way my room looks and how it has come along:) I feel cozier in it.

I just bought a bedframe, nightstand table and a drawer that goes under the bed, along with two paintings for my wall. What a difference it makes!
I’d been looking for some art for the walls that would fit the color schemes and it took me several months to find something that I liked. Literally, the two paintings I wanted sold while I was eating lunch but the owner happened to have 1 copy left of each. I was glad I asked since they’d sold out of them in 2 days. They’re replicas of travel posters from the 1950’s and really seem to fit my taste and state of mind. It feels more like a bedroom.
My bedframe is awesome! I’ve never had one with a headboard and everything. It always seemed so supurflous but it makes an amazing difference. I like being high up off the ground and having more head support for my pillows. It actually makes me pillows feel more comfortable.
I actually enjoy coming to my room and spending time in it now. I feel like, “It’s My bed.”
That’s kind of a nice feelings and adds more peace into my life:)

I got these really awesome mosiac globe lights for my room to string along the ceiling. They really ad a nice element and they look so nice when it’s dark and they’re lit. I’m slowly but surely making my room look homey:)
Also, I decided upon painting my room a light blue and what do you know! I found a big can of light blue paint from my old place just sitting in the garage waiting to be used. Guess that solves that!

My friend is a therapist and said that he’s made decorating his place his priority. He said that having it organized, nice and designed will give him piece of mind. He’s right, I need my room to feel like home.

I’m narrowing down the color that I want to paint my room and how I want to go about the look. I think I already have a lot of it mapped out in my head.
I think it will be pretty much between World Marked and Ikea stuff. A light perriwinkle blue for the walls, with the star lights trailing along the ceiling on the wall over my desk. A vase with those cool flower branch lights in the SW corener.
The Ikea bed frame with the sliding storage for underneath for somewhere to put my extra clothes and get more floor space. Also, the matching set of side drawers that comes with it with a shelf that slides under the bed.
That’s what I got so far.
