Get a Great job

I just got a good job. I wouldn’t call it a great job but it is something for now, and puts my mind at rest a bit. It’s local and it’s a writing job, which is what I want. And I get to stay in town near Nicole, so that makes me happy. I wasn’t so sure I was quite ready to make the move out of town.

Ahhhhh, so, wish me luck and that I enjoy the people I work with, what I’m doing, and that they pay me what I am worth at the end of the 90 day trial period or sooner:)

I applied for a job at UCLA that I am really excited about and that I really want. There were 130 applicants and I’m one of the only 3 that were asked for a second interview. I really want this and I think it will be great for positioning me into grad school and to give me a some time to figure out some things and settle up in LA.

I kind of want to be in Texas or somewhere else but I think this job is the best thing for me right now…and I will also be able to see if this is another of my, “Get out of LA phases,” and then I’ll turn around and love it again. It sure would be worth it to stick around to get to know Jamie…or work things out with Jen…and an extra year in LA is just one more year. Besides, there are so many exciting things ahead of me. Life rocks!

I just got a freelance job on a video game. It’s a short gig but I’ll be updating the game every month, which will be a nice extra flow of income.

I’m excited to add this to my list of credits and look forward to what jobs will spring from it.

I got a call from my recruitment agency about a great job that I want. It’s two blocks from my house, with the position and title that I want at a great company I would like to work for again.

I really want this job and I got a call on my cell this morning from an unidentified number that didn’t ring through. Damn cell phones. If that was them this would be the second time that has happened. And often times they don’t call back. The other time I didn’t care that much about the job but this time I really want it.

Hopefully I will get a call from them in the next couple days and all will work out. I really want this job.

...is I enjoy using my accumulated knowledge and skills and using those to direct others. Not many people can say they were an artist for multiple big animation studios and also sold and published a series that they wrote and created. And since I’ve taken on jobs art directing and doing project management, not only have I thougroughly enjoyed these jobs but the people I’ve hired to work with me have had a blast and they end up feeling more empowered about themselves.

I like making people feel good. And I like encouraging them to do better and giving them the tools and encouragement to reach their potential. And being an artist, I understand how they think and what they need.

So, what I need to be doing now is be aware of my talents and skills, own them and express them concisely to others and to pursue and get the jobs that are worthy of a kick a** person like myself.
