Learn Portuguese

I’m making fair progress, I’ve an excellent teacher and seem to have reached that basic level where one isn’t simply overwhelmed all the time.

Getting a good, private tutor has been crucial for me, because my wife speaks English and I risk living here in Brazil in a sort of English-speaking bubble, watching American films and using the internet.

Definately improving. Working my way through the subjunctive cases.

A new, excellent tutor, a considerable improvement on the duds that I`ve been working with up to now.

I feel I`m going somewhere with this, finally.

I have a much better tutor, so I am making som e progress…or so I feel.

Pronounciation continues to be a problem.

I`m going to start watching tv again. Eeven though it`s idiotic, I do feel it helps.

Getting there! Every word a battle, but I feel that I’m winning. I understand so much more than I did a year ago.

The main thing is to be patient as at 38 it just takes longer to learn and remember new words than it did when I was younger.

I am going to make a big push with this when I feel better.

I am going to make a big push on this with reading some magazine articles this week.

My lesson being so poor, and expensive besides, I`m going to be doing this alone and with the private tutor.

This means I have to do more, it`s not enought just to cruise along now.
