I`ve managed to re-order my days so this s less of a problem- that is, I spend more time doing stuff and less time aimlessly surfing the web.
It`s really a question of focussing on setting up other activities, rather than abstaining.

Pretty bad of late.
I am somewhat bored and demoticvated which seems to make it especially hard.
I seem to be reading more and finding other stuff to do.
I think, as with most addictions, the best thing is to find “replacement” activities.
If I am honest I’d say that part of the attraction of wasting time on the internet is that it IS wasteful.
Everything else in my life is so dreadfully purposeful.
I am looking for a studio and when I get one will be away form the comp more often, whcih I think isn’t a bad thing by any means as I definately am addicted.
This is getting better.
I decided only to use the comp in the mornings.
It’s actually quite liberating once you make the decision.
Yes, it’s mostly a waste of time; more like browsing in magazines than anything else I can think of.
I think the addictivity has something to do with the interactive nature of the internet, and the fact that you unconsciously engage your imagination when exchanging messages.
