The last really good female friend I had was when I was in community college…and she was only my friend until she didn’t need anything from me anymore. When I needed something from her, she disappeared. I don’t know, maybe I stopped trusting other women. I get along really well with the women I work with, but we don’t hang out during our off-time.
I’d like to have women friends that I can hang out with, go to lunch or museums, talk about life, be silly, encourage each other. I really do miss that kind of closeness with women. This is now one of my intentions for my life.
