Well, I managed to keep at it for two weeks now. During the week at work I am walking more, I don’t use any elevators, and any excuse I can make for elaving my desk to go check on something or talk to someone, I use it to get myself moving. At home, I managed to use the treadmill again and I fixed our bokes so my son & I can go riding as the weather gets better.

Well, after thinking about how I ought to get off my butt and do something, I just decided to do it finally. Cleared off my dusty treadmill, programmed a 30 minute workout and did it. Somewhere between a beginning walker and advanced walker on it’s preset programs. Still, it made me sweat and kept me moving for a good 30 minutes. Plus for the last minute of each of the ten intervals I did tummy crunches as I walked as best as I could. Now, it’s only one day I have done this, but if I can keep at it, I know this will help!
I live on a farm, so it’s not like I don’t do anything, but what I do isn’t exactly aerobic or muscle building either. I have a treadmill I need to set some time aside and start using again, and when the snow & ice are gone, I need to start riding my mountain bike again too. I think that got me in better shape than anything else I ever did.
