Happy Moments

Last week my teacher said, “I look forward to our lessons each week”. Someone else who I catch up with on a weekly basis also said the same thing. It’s incredibly touching that just by being me, other people get something positive out of that.
I’m trying to do more of that too. I’m going to make a point of sending complimentary emails if I get great service, tell people things I notice about them that are special, and not keep it to myself if someone’s done something that has a positive impact on me.

Yesterday I took the bus home and thanked the driver like I usually would after a trip. He said, “thanks, that’s the first smile I’ve had all day!” :)

Apart from the regular work routine, nice things have been happening this week.

The cat broke in and greeted me good morning twice this week. I think he knows when I go to work, as he has been visiting 5 minutes before I have to leave.

A former colleague got in touch to say hi and wants to touch base this weekend. I’m looking forward to see her. She taught me a lot about motivation and self belief. I’m grateful that although we aren’t colleagues now, she still thinks of me and my family and wants me to succeed in my pursuits.

Tonight I went through the night market at the mall on the way to my lesson, and the guy at the crystal stand stopped me in my tracks. “Hey you, here’s a crystal that broke in two. I can’t sell it but I want someone to have it.” I’m going to call that my first birthday present. Nice :)

I received an annual progress report for my sponsor child in Brazil. It was such a nice surprise! Came with some cool texta art too

On the weekend I wandered into a shop I visit whenever I’m in that area. The lady remembered me and said the nicest thing. She remembered the details of a conversation we had several months ago, and she also said of all the people that come through her shop, she remembers me. She said I give off some sort of peaceful vibe that she could feel in the shop before she even looked up and saw it was me. I couldn’t believe I would have such a positive impact on someone, I was rather moved that she expressed it in such a beautiful way

sent me an email to let me know her friend was going to be in town, and wants to know if she can pass my details to her. It was a really lovely email, and touched me to know how valuable my friendship was to her, even though we haven’t caught up for quite a while.

I gave my friend a bunch of flowers for her birthday, and she told me she has never been given flowers before, ever. Making her happy made me happy :)
