Saw a lot in the 2 days we were there. My awesome uncle and aunty showed us around. Chinatown, Cable car, Fisherman wharf, bridge, Museum of Modern Art (which was very cool:)there is a Frida Kahlo exhibition on at the moment that we managed to catch)and Legion of Honour museum, which had a stunning exhibition of Rodin’s work.
My only complaint- it was SO cold and windy! Well maybe it wasn’t that bad, but I’m kind of confused that so many people told me it would be a big hot summer in San Fran and not to worry about even packing a jacket. To me it didn’t feel much different to Sydney’s winter!

Not only will I discover San Francisco, I will also be meeting relatives I have never had the pleasure of meeting before. And I am so looking forward to visiting that massive record store I heard about! much joy to be had :)

Relieved to say tickets have been booked! A short stopover in Taipei on the way. Spoke to some friends the other night, who gave lots of tips on where to go. I can start counting down the weeks now :)

Received a card from my cousin in San Fran. This is really happening. It’s unreal :) Since my last post, we have invited another close relative and will fund his trip so he can make it. So look forward to see these parts of my family come together for the first time. :)

We have relatives in America that I have never met. One cousin is getting married in July next year. Looks likely mum and I will be going to San Francisco for the wedding. I will get myself a travel guide soon, so I can read up on all the must see places. How exciting, my first trip to the States!
