finish my dissertation

today I met someone whose wife is teaching where I did my undergraduate work…. It really made me think. I have really let this stagnate. I should be teaching there (or somewhere) by now. It’s time to get this done I don’t know why I am so averse to working on it.

I have found myself inspired by my work again—after a very long time.
I also have a bit of a plan to regulate my progress. One my problems- besides the largest which is that I frequently alternate between disinterest and plain laziness-is that I there is no method to work I do. So, I am plannign to go back to a very simple system and convert my work into undergraduate style tasks. For example every text I read gets a brief essay on it to archive for later use..
I have also determined to work on it at least 5 days a week. Really there are days—actually weeks where I do nothing other than carry the texts around as I teach or do my other work….
