I want to be a model

I always wanted to be in this type of career , modeling and acting since i was young but never thought i’d make it but now that i’m getting older i really want to but i don’t think i’d make it but i think its worth a try. the thing is i think my family will laugh at me for even thinking of it let alone try!! Maybe i should try after high school? Or during it, in college or after(if i get it).
