i dated a guy in high school and it was a terrible relationship, about 3 years, he went to a different school and did a lot of drugs and cheated on me blah blah blah. then 6 years later he shows up at my university, because of legal problems he had to leave his other university and move back to houston, so i see him on campus and totally ignore him 100% for 2 years solid. then a mutual friend gives him my number, and he calls me, and we become friends again, then we date for almost 6 months. during this time i become very close friends with his best friend, who all along i bond with and admire and really enjoy; we’re one happy family, right? he’s such a great guy that i try and set him up with a lot of girls- he dates one, my very close friend, for about 6 weeks. i break up with “the guy”, he breaks up with my friend, and we are hanging out again, just the two of us. and would you believe it, we fall in love and realized that we’ve always just really liked eachother, even though we’ve seen eachother at our worst? we both lost some friends over it but what can you say- life is not easy. now he’s 9000 miles away in Iraq, working as a contract fire fighter. we talk every morning and every evening and i love him more and more everyday, waiting patiently for him to get his ass back here.
