BlueBana Smoothie Popsicle 8 months ago

OMG, this was sooooo good! On a whim, and out of the need to do something with a very very ripe banana, I decided to make a blueberry and banana smoothie, and freeze it in popsicle molds. so, here’s another recipe to add to my permanent menu. I think I can even eat these for beakfast! No sugar added, the extra ripe banana is sweet enough!

add to blender:
1 (very ripe) banana,
1 yoplait cup of blueberry yogurt,
cover with 2% milk,
add handful of blueberries,
and blend.

you can drink it or freeze it, either way, it’s awesome!

I don’t even know how many meals I make regularly. I think I might should know this… then I should figure out how many I ought to have.

I need to start planning meals but I’m obviously terrible at it. I think I should just start with one day. Plan today what I’ll eat tomorrow. Then slowly work my way up to planning for a whole week.

Permanent Menu 10 months ago

So, everybody has one, a menu of foods they eat more often than not. I remember certain dishes mom would make more regularly than others. It was always a treat to get her lasagna.
Now, growing up, I’ve picked up a few of mom’s recipes, a few of my friends recipes, and created some of my own. I was fortunate enough to live with my best friend for about a year and she taught me how to make quesadillas and tacos (not that it’s hard, I just never would have thought about it on my own as I’m not the biggest mexican food fan).
Dad taught me a really great meatloaf using crushed crutons instead of breadcrumbs, some beef broth, dry onion soup mix, and green bell peppers. That hasn’t become a permanent yet but it’s on the way.
Tonight, and the entire purpose of this entry is because, I found my secret recipe for stir fry! Any and all veggies and beef as you like, but instead of using dry stir fry mix of the stir fry sauces they sell in the stores, why buy all those extra products when all you need is one: the one I found. If I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret anymore… shhhh: salad dressing. The one I used was Toasted Sesame, but there are others out there I might be willing to try, too. Just saute the meat and veggies in as much salad dressing as you need and boil up some noodles. dinner in minutes! So good!
