So my pilates instructor David (he’s brilliant by the way!) has been helping me alot with building some strength in my arms to do a handstand, which apparently is step one in doing a cartwheel. He’s got me doing all sorts of reps with 8kg weights! And I’ve managed to stand on my hands a few times with him or the wall or both supporting me.. so am I on track? Hope so!
I tried to practice doing cartwheel’s a bit when I was at the beach on holiday recently, and my friend caught me on my camera! How sneeky of her! You can see my few hillarious attempts here:

So I got sidetracked a bit with my trading project and visiting of Mozambique’s awesome beaches! But just started Pilates again- and geez man, my instructor David is sure pushing me along to build some muscle! I love it! And he knows I want to do cartwheels soon, so I’ll get my arms strong and get back to practicing handstands soon!

I’ve been practicing my hand stands against a wall, and slowly getting there! It’s one step – or rather handstand – at a time!

Yip, found a friend who was a gymnast coach, and he’s helping me out. He reckons I’ve got to learn to do a handstand first, and that’s causing lots of laughter- from me and those watching! See http://www.usa-gymnastics.org/publications/technique/2001/2/101-cartwheels.html
