be a leader

I was informed yesterday that my manager and store directors want to have me as a team leader / supervisor on a full-time basis at my new part-time job. I’ve workd there for only 6 days spanned on 3 weeks and already they are making me an offer for this job! I must be doing something right!

Funny thing is, I applied there not really thinking it was a good option for me, but it’s THE place I ought to be right now. I feel my work is appreciated, I enjoy working with my co-workers, even if they are mostly half my age.

I am surprised, I didn’t think an offer would come so fast. They are supposed to call me today to let me know when they want to meet me to make an affoer for my services. It’s time for me to make my best sales pitch ever, because this time, it’s myself that I’ll be seeling for a new salary with new conditions and a new, improved statu in the company. W00T!

I’m starting a new job tomorrow in which I may be promoted very quickly according on my performances and my leadership.

I trust myself, I am certain I will do well.

I can’t say exactly where or when, but I feel like I’ve been a leader recently. I’ve been feeling proud of myself for the way I lead people during whatever task recently. Maybe last week during my mom’s move? Maybe last night, when I helped a person I had just met think through her situation, guiding her and the discussion (we were 3) towards the right direction (IMO). I’ve also taken a more pro-active stance in my relationship, leading my girlfriend and myself towards activities and choices.

It’s a bit confused, I know, but I feel I’m improving.

I have to quit my job soon, but right now I CAN’T! I have bills and debts to pay and I’m moving with my GF in a nice appartment. She doesn’t work right now since she’s a teacher and it’s summer. So I have to pay the bills.

I’ll swallow my pride and still work in a dead-end job for the next few weeks, although I don’t think it’s the best option, it’s the safest for my GF. And she is too important to me for me to just quit my job and start looking without being able to pay my bills.

So being a leader is not a priority today, but I believe it will help me get a better job, so I must put my energy on self-improvement while I still work here and hope for the best.

I have had a game idea in my mind for 2-3 months now. I already started to sketch it, but nothing real serious.

I want to gather friends to work with me on this project and I need to devellop my leadership skills in order to achive my goals.

I’ve already started to think about who could help me in what aspect. Now, I have to convince them to help me. For that, I need to work on the finer details of the planning beforehand so that my idea and my vision can motivate them,

I want to become the best person I can be. I think I can be a great leader, but I have to develop some of the skills I have.

I know I can lead, but I often get angry when my ideas get rejected if I think they’re better than the ones that get picked. Being a leader is not always being in control, but rather being the one people will look after to take an idea and help make it something real.

I also have to be more confident. I will sometimes not take the place that is mine. I have to get my back straight, speak a bit louder and clearer to make sure that when I speak, I look like I know what I’m talking about, not like I’m not convinced what I’ll say makes ayny sense.

I am not bossy, so that’s not a problem. And I know how to take responsability for my mistakes.
