For tonight, 9/22/06; so far it’s clear skies so we’ll see (cross my fingers!)
Edit: Alas, too cloudy last night. The forecast says it’ll be high activity for another day or two, but so far it’s still quite cloudy. Maybe tomorrow night?

I got a note from the auroral forecasting space place to let me know of some increased solar activity (which is what causes them), and they said some solar event had occured and the chances were pretty good for that night. Except it was cloudy and rainy here at the time. :(
The note also said they haven’t sent notes out in a while because the sun’s activity is in a low period. But it’s good to know I (or rather their auroral viewing mailing list) am still on their minds!
I’ve actually got the NOAA space activity site bookmarked but I always forget to look to see how the space weather is doing. I’m in Massachusetts so it’s got to be winter pretty much for me to see them.
