drive more so it's less scary

Man, being 20 and not having a license is embarrassing. But I’ve really developed a fear of driving because I never get to practice it (let my permit lapse for 2 years before getting another one this March, and I’m away at school) and if I do, I just get to do the same short route over and over. I live with my mom and grandma, and my mom is so high strung when it comes to driving that I get nothing out of it and sometimes end up crying. My grandma decided to let me drive home from a job interview, and after crossing myself a few times, we realized she was better for me to drive with. She’s the one having faith in me to take 295 to the mall or not yelling at me when a car cuts in front of me or giving me directions to my house from 20 feet away. So I’ve gotten more practice in and in better areas that offer a more challenge and more realistic experience. I’m feeling better, but not ready to check this one off as done yet.
