My Web Skills Have Improved!

This has been a very busy week for me, so I figured it was time to start playing catch-up with my work and put up another blog. I didn’t get started until 11:00, though, but by the time I looked up at the clock it was 5:00 and I had the WHOLE blog done.

These used to take a month to design and create, and then another week to set up affiliate sites and such to match.

I’m now buying blogs for $10 each (and even more professional looking than what I can do), and I can put them up in a day! :D

Sweet! Next month, I’m signing up for a monthly membership software that will blast my sites all over the internet automatically (which saves me months more work), so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything will keep moving along smoothly for me.

Sometimes life does rock...

and so does WEBN 102.7, baby! Yeah! Went to the radio station yesterday with a friend and rocked out with 6 other winners and their guests.

Budweiser provided free libations for everyone, and White Castle (a local restaurant chain) provided burgers and fries. Remember now that this is all at 7:00 in the morning! :D

We spent the next 3 hours there listening to a local band called Rootbound and they absolutely rocked! http://www.myspace.com/rootboundmusic

Towards the end, we all got 2 sets of the new Frog (mascot) stickers (sadly, no t-shirts, though), and 2 tickets each to go see ‘Root Fest’ (featuring our local Rootbound) in West Union, Ohio in August.

When we first got there, Rodney (the rep) gave us all a ticket, and then at the very end he called out numbers. Guess what I won, all? Two tickets to go see New York Dolls, Poison and Motley Crue on the 26th of this month! Yea!!

That’s 3 winning days in a row for me, and ‘Yes’ I have knocked wood every time I have written these. :D

I’ve already counted my blessings, but I have to admit I am a bit excited to see what Day 4 has in store for me today… ???

Could This Be My Lucky Week?

Or even month? Or year?!

‎:D It’s gonna be a really good tomorrow, obviously. Today, I just won 2 free tickets to go see “The Art of Getting By”, as well. WEBN Dawn Patrol in the morning, too, bitches! Yeaaaaaaah! :D

"I'm a winner!", just like Charlie Sheen said I was.

I just realized the other day that I haven’t made very many entries for this goal yet. But that’s okay, because I just got off the phone and…

Super mother-friggin’sweet, bitches! I just got a call from the oldest rock-n-roll radio station in the area, WEBN, and I am a winner! (See, I told everyone Charlie Sheen was right. He is about the Adonis DNA, too)

I’ve been rockin’ with WEBN (102.7 FM – Home of the Lunatic Fringe)since 1971 when I was only 7, and I’ll be 47 next month, so this is my 40th year listening.

So me and a friend have to show up at the station just before 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. We will then be taken to the control room where we will party online for the next 2-1/2 hours with Wild Man Walker, Bob The Producer, Shroom, Meat and the oh-so-lovely Jenni, all members of the early morning radio show here we call “The Dawn Patrol”. Think Bob & Tom, but quite a bit funnier.

The people from Budweiser, co-sponsors of the contest, will also be on-hand to give out free beer to all of us during this time. A little early in the day (actually, morning) to be drinking, but what the heck for a special occasion, right?!

Rodney, the WEBN rep that called me, said that prizes will also be given away during this time and, although he doesn’t know exactly what they will be, everyone will walk out with at least something. I do believe there are 2 really big concerts coming up (Motley Crue/Poison and Goo Goo Dolls/Michele Branch), and the station always give up tickets, so I’m hoping for the best.

I’m always telling everyone how lucky I am with contests, but no one ever believes me. Well, listen in on Tuesday morning and, if I get the chance, you’ll get to hear me yell into the microphone my favorite catchphrase of late:

“You know what the proudest moment of my life was, Wild Man Walker? When I got this tattoo on my back of the Kool-Aid man. 3% fruit juice, motherf*ckers! Oh, yeeeeah!!!!”

Hopefully, someone somewhere will have the tape rolling when it happens…

Fixed Blog Links

My Green Smoke links on my ecigs blog haven’t been working for the last 2 months. I wrote to them about it, but never received an answer back. I went to my back office today, and the links don’t work there, either, so obviously it’s a problem from their end and not mine. The flash ad is a real money-maker for me, though, so I downloaded the ad, uploaded it to my server, changed the html code appropriately, and now it’s working.

The reason I wound up finding out the ad was faulty was because my sales had started decreasing. Hopefully, everything will get back to normal now.

Jeez Louise

I’ve forgotten to write entries about the various things I’ve been doing over the last 3 months that could have been listed here, so I guess I need a new end date for this, and to start writing entries from here on out.

So anyway, my Safe Link phone got stolen a while back, and since then I have had problems with the replacement phone as far as the minutes getting added each month and the service date. Called in today to take care of it. Wound up being on the phone for almost 30 minutes, but it’s now taken care of. I could tell that even the lady on telephone was getting irritated because her support person kept taking so long and she had to keep asking me to put me back on hold “for up to 3 minutes”, but she was very nice to me and got the job done.

So for various reasons this has wound up taking me almost a month and a half to get resolved, but I can now cross this off the list and count it as accomplished. :D

Thanks, Kika...

Had just finished one goal when I saw this one on a gal named Kika’s page. This is perfect for a new goal. I especially love the concrete due date. Going to figure out mine now. Be back in a bit to tweak this out.

EDIT: 18 months.
