My bf was born in Ecuador and lived in South and Central America for years. He speaks Spanish incredibly fluently, though he has trouble reading or writing it. I’ve asked him dozens of times to teach me, but I usually forget the words. I only know a few. I can count to ten and say hello and goodbye. I’m off to a disappointing start.
