I opened up an Oekaki board for my friends and I to use, and it’s gotten all three of us drawing more than we have been! :D

My friend and I started this email exchange which he terms a “Draw Battle” – only it isn’t really a battle, it’s just us emailing each other with a drawing we did attached to the end of it. It’s fun, and it keeps me drawing, but right now I’m taking too long to reply.
This was what I sent him last time:
I really like the style found on a lot of Japanese fanart websites, so I tried to emulate that in my drawings recently.
When I get that feeling of artist’s block, I look at a picture I really like and try to work techniques or elements of it into my own drawings.
Not drawing every day, but drawing frequently.
Thinking about changing this goal to ‘draw more often’...I have been drawing ALMOST every day, but not quite.
Mostly it’s fanart or things like that, or a doodle in the margin of my notes, but it’s still drawing. Well, I’ll keep trying.
Done in the car on the way to Disneyland. :D Not the whole picture, but the face is what I liked most about it.
...don’t have the best relationship right now. I love to draw but I’ve stopped for a long time due to the stress of dealing with my art teacher. But I’m determined NOT to let her control my interests, so I’m making an effort to draw something new everyday. Even the smallest doodle counts. I even bought a new sketchbook and everything. Maybe I should, I don’t know, date the pages ahead of time to force myself to use them…it could work.
