apply for a passport and visit my German penpal

Haha alrighty then, I’m not sure about this one…

I’m on good speaking terms with said friend again, and she tells me she’ll be here in London at the end of September. Now, I’ve done some research regarding train fares and I’ve worked out that it’s possible to get 2 single journey tickets at £25 apiece… that I can afford.

Only concern is, I could only see as far ahead as mid-August, so I’m hoping there aren’t seasonal changes in train fares… I can’t see that happening from August to September.

Anyway, I don’t know if this would entitle me to tick this goal off, after all the goal was to get the passport and visit her, so I really don’t know…..? =S

Hmm… this is getting further and further away from me. I haven’t written to my penpal since last Christmas due to my own laziness. It’s my intention to write to her this Christmas and try to put things right again. Perhaps 2008 will be the year I meet my penpal.

I’ve already done the first part, I recieved my passport a few weeks ago. I needed to get one anyway though, because I’m going on holiday to France in January (if you haven’t grasped that yet lol). It feels wierd, owning a passport for the first time, it makes me feel important. I want to take it everywhere with me lol.

Anyway, point is, I’m currently writing a letter to said penpal, I started it last week… yeah… right, so I’m gonna make a solemn promise that I will visit her mid/late ‘07. She’s been over in England twice this year and both times I couldn’t meet her despite us arranging to do so, partly because I couldn’t afford it, the rest, because I couldn’t be bothered to make the effort. I know, that’s bad. I just gotta go and do it… it’ll be an adventure…. right?
