I’ve at last done it!
I chased up my application at that computer shop I mentioned last Wednesday. The man said to bring my CV in, so I took it in Thursday morning, and 5pm the same day he phoned me and asked me to come in on Saturday! So I’ve already worked my first weekend (15+ hours!) and I’m on again this Sat.
The first day went really fast, but Sunday went slower as I was doing the same thing all day long. Anyway this weekend I’m hoping will go faster, I’m going to try a bit harder to socialise with the other guys instead of spending alot of my time standing around hands in pockets doing nothing.
So anyway, I now have a job. I haven’t cleaned at my sisters house yet but I saw her today and we talked a bit and I’m still going to do that despite me having a job now. =)
You guys looking for jobs, don’t give up! If you don’t hear about your applications, chase them up! It can make all the difference!

Why the hell is this so hard!? I’ve been looking for a job since August and still had no luck. I, quite honestly, must have applied for thiry or so jobs in warehousing, factory work, order picking, cleaning, shop work, paper delivery, catering/waitressing, horse grooming, all sorts of stuff. It’s starting to make me angry because I’m trying hard and getting nowhere.
The last job I applied for was sales assistant in a new computer shop in town. I’m really hoping I have some luck with that because I know computers.
Anyway, my sister was telling me yesterday that she’s looking for a cleaner (!) and asked if I’d do it for £15 a week starting in a few weeks time. I agreed to it so hopefully I’ll get by on that until something better comes along.
I intend to try for a job in the TA once I’m old enough (17y9m) but that isn’t until next September lol so the sooner I get a job then all the better. =)
