I’ve had Nemaline Rod Myopathy, since birth. When I was young I had a really hard time with it. I always used to trip, & get made fun of for not being able to run as fast as the other kids..
Since I have started working Really hard at getting fit, I don’t trip so much, & I am getting stronger. I really don’t remember the last time I tripped!
Having this also messes with balance, which is why I didn’t like skating as a kid.. Also why I would use it to get out of doing things the took too much physical skill… So I wouldn’t look weak, be made fun of, or get hurt trying.
This all just mean I have to work twice as hard as others to be strong. And I’m going to do it! I’ll work my butt off to feel free of it, & will try more things! :P
