adapt a screenplay from a favorite book

Well now that I’ve found the damn thing, I notice all the good copies are 150-200 dollars and all the regular ones are 30 bucks or more. I dont really have much money right now. And to think all this time I had a copy of this coveted book, and I didnt even know how wanted and lusted for it was. Its perfect for my screenplay….the only way I could get my copy is if my ex hasnt lost it like the imbecile he is (Im sure all my stuff is gone that I left behind) or I magically start ejecting dollars out my ass. :( le sigh

OK so I’ve been lamenting the fact that I couldnt find Greensleeves anywhere, but I entered a few more search terms on google this morning and was indeed able to locate a few copies on Amazon. Ironically enough I’d looked on Amazon dozens of times, including yesterday, using Greensleeves as a search term and it never came up rolls eyes EVERYONE who reviewed it said the same thing as I—taht they couldnt get their hands on a copy, that they got theirs from a discarded library’s stash, or thought about stealing it from the library. LOL. This book is much loved, and maybe not forgotten. Perfect for my screenplay, as I did always, always love this book.

There was this great book I had, a loooong time ago. I cant remember the author. The title was, yes, Greensleeves. I want to adapt a screenplay from the book, but its out of print and I cant even find anything about it on the ‘Net, not ebay or any of those sites that specialize in retrieving books that are out of print. If I cant find another copy, I’ll be pretty hard pressed to write anything from it. I had obtained via hand me down from an old library in a Christian school, though the book not “Christian” in any way itself. I dont suppose it ever mattered very much to anyone but me. I wonder if anyone in the world is still alive that has read it, except me. Feels like it. The only copy I know of….is probably long gone, left behind with other precious things when I left my ex…..
