Right… so I had a look online for patterns and the most user friendly site is socks 101

I have the wool, the weird double ended needles and a pattern…. now I just have to figure out how to make them all work together!

Winter Socks

Unlike myself (who lives in a tropical area), Nonnacookbooker lives in a place that gets very VERY COLD during winter. Brrrrrrr. So she can keep her feet warm during the upcoming months, I’m going to (attempt) to knit her a pair of socks!! I might add though, that my knitting skills are a little less than ordinary, so I can’t be sure that they’ll pass quality control. I’ve been assured this doesn’t matter!

So I think all I need is circular knitting needles, a pattern, and wool…. sounds easy enough… hmmmm…..
