Snick’s next adventure is to see Nonnacookbooker and she’s going to fly up to Japan to visit Ume. He’s getting very excited already – especially at the fact that he doesn’t need to be in a box for this trip!

Snicks got to see where I slept while at sea – not ideal having to sleep in the charthouse but at least I can put my own linen on the bed (as bright pink is definitely not standard navy issue!).

Snicks got the Ship’s Crest stamped in his passport to remind him of all the good sea-going adventures he’s had!

to get out of the Harbour, Snicks and I had a chance to relax. We went down to the Wardroom (the Officers recreational and dining space) and Snicks got to meet a few of the other guys onboard. They decided he needed to learn how to play “Uckers” – a traditional Navy game which is similar to Ludo, but a bit more complex.

One of the Officers of the Watch took him under his wing and taught him the ropes.

Snicks enjoyed a few minutes lazying about in the Captains chair on the Bridge when he wasn’t looking!!

Snicks found my chair on the Bridge very comfortable. He even tried out the binoculars and wore my ball cap!

Talk about perfect scenery when leaving Sydney Harbour! Snicks got a good look at the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House and all the other great sights along the Harbour.
