Long, Not Lost

Friends came to to my midwest world last week. I met them here and they were married and moved to NC two years ago. I took time away from my work to spend with them and it was awkward as heck because I didn’t know what to talk about. I have been rotten about being in touch with them and promise to be better. Not just friends who have moved away, but those right here in my neighborhood who I have not kept up with because I am so distracted by my life. Shame on me!
