So im 28 years old and still havent ever gotten my license. I dont know how to make excuses for this. Ive always gotten by. On foot, by bus or friend. And I cannot say I have ever had an interest in ammending the situation. Besides a couple times where a boyfriend took me driving around in circles, I have driven exactly 3 times: once when said boyfriend split his lip open on a trampoline (and he actually drove to the hospital, I merely drove from the emergency room to the parking lot), once when my friends were too drunk (pretty far and on the highway), and once when I took a friends car and drove around the block a few times with her chasing me. The lack of independence has finally gotten to me. I have amazing friends who are willing to take me anywhere I need to go, but I am sure it is getting in the way of my social life. People are less likely to invite me out if they know they have to pick me up and drop me off, and I dont blame them. Plus, I really want to get a pick-up truck so I can drive around the streets of Miami looking for furniture that people are dumping (cuz I do love fucking with old furniture and changing it up).
