37.Child Prodigies & 39.Steve Jobs
A prodigy is usually a child that by the age of 11 is very proficient at something an adult would be if they studied their bum off. Think of Neil Shaun. He got to play with Santana when he was 10 years old. :)
Yey to the Guitargod
Wunderkinder are also people like Spielberg or Steve Jobs. People who have achieved something grande very early in their life. I read up on Steve and found out he was actually born to an American Mum and a Syrian father, but was given away for adoption (because she wasn’t married). Oh well, anyway, Mrs. and Mr. Jobs adopted him and YEY. There they have claim to fame of Mr. Smartypants CEO of Apple and Pixar (Ner worth: $3 billion USD (2005)). I am sooo happy for him :)
Anyway, this little rant from Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_prodigy explains what factors play a role in endorsing prodigenious behaviour :)
“Most researchers recognize that prodigious talent tends to arise as a result of the innate talent of the child, the environment that the individual resides in, the energetic and emotional investment that the child ventures, and the personal characteristics of the individual. This seemingly vacuous statement is necessary to rule out a simplistic view. Prodigies, regardless of their portrayal, are people, and as such are generally confined by much the same constraints on learning and emotional issues that most people deal with. It is extremely difficult, and ultimately fruitless, to claim that innate talent does not exist. It is impossible to learn to play tennis in a prison, and it is rewarding to learn music with encouragement. One cannot spontaneously have knowledge beam itself from the heavens into one’s head: at least some time, and therefore energy, is required to learn and absorb the proper skill set. Emotions play an incredibly important role (as in almost all people), from the catastrophic tendencies exhibited by stereotypical examples of ‘tortured geniuses’, to the obvious distracting quality of bouts of uncontrollable depression, to the less tangible and poorly understood qualities of the effects of emotions on one’s creativity and general thought patterns. Finally, if the person is particularly determined, stable, passionate, cheerful, focused, and energetic, they will likely fare better than a lethargic, and unhappy person of nebulous will or intent.”

20 Butterflies
http://home.vicnet.net.au/~fbpw/but_fly1.htm “Butterflies and Moths belong to the group of insects called Lepidoptera.
Like other insects they have a head, thorax, abdomen, two antennae and six legs. They also have their skeleton on the outside of their body, a feature which conserves moisture. Additionally butterflies and moths have four wings and a coiled proboscis for drinking nectar from flowers. There are about 20,000 species of butterfly in the world and about 10 times as many species of moth. Australia has about 400 species of butterfly, mostly in the tropics. At Bushy Park Wetlands we are lucky to have 20 species of butterfly and many more species of moth. This article won’t go into detail on moths, except to point out the main difference between butterflies and moths.”

He looks like the Don himself
Yes, there is a picture of him SMILING on the Wikipedia site, but I thought this one would look more… appropriate :D
Most people will know him from being the author of the Godfather (1969). I am not particularly good with directors let alone screenplays. The story for the Godfather supposedly developed because prior to the book HE heard a lot of Mafia stories in pulp journalism (whatever that means).
Personal stuff
Mario Puzo’s family was Sicilian, no wonder his books seem so authentic. He was born in New York and, following military service in World War II, (stationed in Asia and Germany) attended New York’s New School for Social Research and Columbia University. He died in July 1999 at his home on Long Island, New York, at the age of seventy-eight. (I didn’t even know he was dead, so there I go :( )
What else he’s famous for
The Last Don (1996), which became an international bestseller and the highest-rated TV miniseries of 1997.
He also wrote many screenplays, the one which really stood out was Superman (Yep, 1 AND 2), of course all three Godfather movies, for which he received two Academy Awards.
I asked Adam today. He apparently has a special addition gen 3 model, built in Nov. 1985.
There is the R(X?)100, RX2, RX3, RX4, RX5, (RX6 was never made), RX7 and the RX8.
The idea of using a rotatry engine came up in 1975, because of a huge pile of unsold Mazdas. Engineer Akio Uchiyama & banker Sinpei Hanaoka started to get the ball rolling, experimenting around with the Wankel engine (Wankel wasn’t too pleased about this at the beginning, but later on was very thankful they did).
RX7s where very light and the engineers tried not to do the same mistakes with them, which they did with the RX5 Cosmo. For energy efficiency a 12A motor is usually used, but everyone I know gets a 13B turbo, because it makes the owners happier people. And racing is a lot more fun when you win. :)
Apparently RX7s, due to their little blinky eyes (that’s what I call the front lights) are exactly as high as a Datsun 280Z.
RX7s are devided into 3 generations and further into 8 series.
The first series RX7 were built in 1978-1980.
Series 1 has a metalbumper with two black plastic pieces at the sides, fairly short backlights and an extra big space for the numberplate. Series 2 and 3 both have a plastic bumer, elongated backlights wich the numberplate is exactly alligned with. Series 2 and 3 cannot be differentiate just by looking at the rear ends. They have different wheels and series 3 has little reflectors at the front side.
That’s all I can remember for now. Pretty happy with that.

Check this site out, it has some really interesting information on there.
As for my goal about RX7s, I found a great site which had exactly the info I was looking for:
www.rx7uknet.dircon.co.uk/history.html
I spent 30min. on this this morning. My plan is to condence the information onto two pages, print it out and use it as toilet reading material. By tonight I should be a little smarter and can move on to the next goal.
My partner drives a RX7, series 3 himself I believe… and made me help fix stuff at various times, so I hope to get the technical aspect down tap through his help.
