Turkish Get-ups have become my favorite total body move!
Try them, your abs will be sooooooo sore.

I ran a 5K last week and came in 7th in my age group. Yay! O.K. so there were only 8 actually IN my age group, but heck…I was there and doing it! Most of the runners there were from the local track club, so hey…..My time wasn’t that bad. I finished in 29:00 minutes…so that’s less than 10 min miles…barley :-)
I’m set to run another in about a week.
I took a week off from working out to visit with my brother. Went running yesterday and feel much stronger after the rest.
I’ve been doing iTrain’s iBiClimb Boot Camp 60 min workout, Set 14, two days a week for two weeks now..in addition to my regular running etc.
For those familiar with iTrain, both Grace and Keith coach on this work out, taking you from the treadmill, to the climber, to the floor with weights..doing boot camp style exercises, then back on the climber, floor, climber, floor, some crazy ballet body sculpting for legs by Grace and then…... finally finishing with a nice hard 3 minute sprint on the treadmill! This is an amazing core body workout and has really kicked up my cardio performance in a way regular running couldn’t possibly do.
I’m feeling much stronger.
Thanks Aaty, I downloaded this workout FREE with the promo code you posted here :-) I owe you one!

I feel FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
I’ve had ZERO energy this week….
Tired….
Lead in shoes…in feet…..
Big Brick Wall for me.
sigh
I’m on day 2 of week 3 on my 1/2 marathon training and I’m….tired.
After (((ooty))) responded to my 1/2 marathon post , I started thinking about balance.
Looking back over the past three weeks, I can see where I think I’ve gone wrong…in the energy department. I may have gotten a bit of tunnel vision with my workout program. In order to run more, I’ve cut back on yoga, stretching and even meditation and prayer!
HELLO…...no wonder I’m tired!
I believe in a Universal Superceding Powerful Genderless Energy. When I pray, I feel I’m tapping into this incredible power source and feel so refueled afterwards.
I am always amazed that God is such a graceful God……...accepting me on even my worst days and answering my prayers in ways I’ve never imagined.
I can really tell a difference on days when I “get too busy” to pray, meditate or do yoga.
I’m going to take the next two days off from my running program to get centered again.
Thanks (((ooty))) for suggesting I rethink my program :-)
I bought a juicer in December and have been juicing every day faithfully since. My husband and I feel great. We juice veggies in the a.m. where we once just skipped breakfast!
I’ve graduated to actually juicing Asparagus and Turnip Greens.
I call those drinks “The Hulk” and “The Lawn Mower”. They are the two most nutrient dense veggies I’ve found so far.
