Just finished Kafka on the Shore (8 hours of reading every day) 3 years ago

Haruki Murakami is really good. This was not as good as “The Wind-up Bird Chronicle”, but still very good. I didn’t like it for the first 30 pages, but then I got used to the different stories. I think every one of the three stories (Kafka, Nakata/Hoshino, The Reports) was a favourite at least once. Now, I’m moving on to Klas Östergren’s “Gangsters”. I’m looking forward to it but I fear Östergren has grown old in a bad way. I still consider “Fantomerna” (1978) his best book.

I’m also reading Dick Gabriel’s “Writer’s Workshop” book, and “Generative Programming”. But reading such books were not really the intention with this list entry. And Emma (and other friends of mine) are keeping close tabs on me to make sure I take some time off. But Emma’s sleeping now…
