I have finally

gotten my Kref retirement account reports to come to my home. I have earned some cash this past quarter. While it still has not entirely recovered from the loss it took back in the day, it is recovering. I am a little torn about what to do with it. Kref has relaxed it’s standards a bit and I can now make contributions to it, even though I am no longer employed by that group. The other option is to roll it all over into my current employers fund. There is enough in it that I feel OK leaving it where it is, but…not so sure that is the “right choice” My one with the Seventh Day Adventists…will have to be rolled over, it just does not have enough cash in it to make it worth while.
At least…I know where my cash is. For about 2 years I had no idea what was in this Kref account!

holy crap

WHile I was a good girl and filed my taxes, I was sure the income part was a little low. Ahhh turn out I forgot to compile one more W2 which I just found today while cleaning. I have to talk to my financial advisor today and he may call me to call H and R block or someone to fic my return good gracious.

this is now

sort of a big priority. Apparently I have a bit too much money in one account. Since I will not be getting a home…I really really need to get this taken care of along with my taxes. Grrrrr.

direct deposit

is finally working correctly. This means that my paycheck wont sit in my house for 3-4 extra days.
My last step here is to resign up with the 403B at work…
I just have to keep on keeping on.
Money for retirement makes me extremely nervous. BUt avoiding it is not making it any better!

many baskets, not enough eggs!

Oh what a mess!

Ok I m actually fairly well. Since I transferred jobs, I actually have to Re-enroll right away to my 403B plan, and with Valic. Ugh. But I am going to set up an appointment, and do that and at the same time call Kref and do the rollover, and and and.
This particular woman is a financial advisor, and I may see if she does some advising on the side.
I’ve got 2 savings accounts one high interest, one regular liquid so I can use it in emergencies.
One CD earning ok interest.
my ROTH Ira (Regular payroll contributions, and I do additional ones randomly)
and the 403B/valic plan.
Now to tie up the accounts straggling throughout the country and to really make some plans.
Money is soooo complicated. I get so tight with it, and then I start to wonder is it worth it to go without an I phone…really?

Well

I am saving fairly well. My next step is to consolidate all the 401K 403B retirement plans that I have. I will do this after I start at the new job. I will only have one to roll over, but I have to call the place with the broker for the new place, and that requires a three way appointment. I need to call and find out if I still have any money in the NC state employees 401K..

I think beyond that, I am doing pretty well with the roll over Roth IRA, the CD’s and such. As soon as I have a little bit more in Savings, I will maybe do another CD, if I can find a better interest rate. The one I have is earning a sad poorly amount.

I am going to be paying off my student loan in February, So that will be a tiny amount of extra cash that I should be saving.

I think once that is completed, I will mark this as complete. But I will continue to attempt to save money, And try very hard to see exactly how much cash I’m going to need to retire. All the estimates of how much I would have to save are just, well, staggering.

I am mildly

Freaking out. My bank was bought out yesterday, which is OK, but not really making me happy.
I have no idea how this will all pan out, and I must admit that I really want to take my savings out of the bank and put it in my coffee can!
I’m even watching the Nightly business Report, which is a bit odd for me….
I’m feeling lucky that I have no credit card debt, and all my debt is “good debt (Student loan and mortgage)....but I am worried about the stability of my type of employment, and also concerned about my IRA, my CD, and all that sort of things. Eeeek.

What to do about a CD?

I have a Stepped CD that was a 24 month CD thats coming due in June.
I have 7 days to do something with the money, or it will get re-invested into a New Stepped CD. The Stepped CD had a pretty good interest rate there at the end 5.something percent. I don’t need the money, but maybe I should roll it all into my Roth, or take a vacation with it, or buy new socks, or or or….
At the time, CD’s were being touted as good places to put money. Now, i am not so sure. WIll have to read up. Any advice from experienced money organizers, will be helpful….THanks!

Tax refund

Was a bit bigger than I guess I expected even though I knew how much it was going to be. Not really sure what to do with it, but it might get spent on training. then theres the time deposit CD becoming “due” in June or July (I cant recall.) and so i need to decide what to do with it all. Good to have options. Going to have to put some into the Paltry IRA.
I could use a financial advisor i suppose.

Ahhh this is why this is a goal

My cablewas pretty much turned off because they thought they had not recieved a payment. Turns out I was paying on someone elses account because I entered the wrong numbers in to the eletronic banking bill pay. Hopefully they will sort it out, becauseI paid about 400 dollars to that other account so far..

E-banking very convienient, but be careful to make sure everything is correct
