My telephone stopped taking a charge last week and I needed a new phone. When I arrived at the store, I discovered that I was actually entitled to a new phone due to my plan and length of time I had the phone (4 years with the same phone) so I walked out of the store with a new phone, for free. It doesn’t sing or dance or take photos, or play music, but I already have an ipod and a camera. Free is good. And I have graduated to a non pink phone, sooo…. saved a bit of money there.

I actually packed my shower curtain for this move, since the one I had was almost new. Saving me a big 9.99

On the other hand, One of the nurses last night actually offerred and did then pluck my eyebrows for me. Apparently mine are thin. She did a GREAT job shaping them and I feel like I look good…saving me however much I would have been charged at the beauty salon. maybe 16-30 bucks. Wowee though that hurts.

Confusion  — 8 months ago

I did a HUGE amount of OT in the past two weeks. It has resulted as it should in some monetary gains.
But now I am confused….
Do I save this money, or do I pay down the debt I have.

I’d like ot pay off the car, but I really can not at the moment because it would leave me with almost no spare cash on hand.

I’d also like to dump some more money into my IRA, but part of me hates to sock so much moeny away…(still, I should)

Maybe I should make an extra IRA deposit and one extra car payment and leave it at that. I dunno…I do know if I don’t do something with it, i will find something else less productive to do with it.

Over Time!  — 8 months ago

Due to some very unfortunate circumstances I have been granted authorization to work 2 shifts of Overtime.
OT is the stuff that makes traveling “worth it”

I have a lot of payments coming up, SOOOO, I guess I’ll be using it for an exciting Car Insurance payment. (yaaay).
It would be good to put back an extra 200 or so into the good old Roth IRA, though. We shall see when Paycheck comes exactly how it pans out, but it does reduce some money anxiety I was having…Thank heavens for the most part, this is a managable job (if not pleasant….oh well) and thus giving them a 60 hour work week will not really tap me completely.

my money is going. I am not spending it on anything except Food, dog food, bills. and occasional shampoo…
yet I seem to have less and less. Must stop the hemmorhage.

a pair of shoes for work at target today 14.00. Not the best shoes, but they will do, and if I had done what I usua;;y do I woul dhave ended up payign 80.00 so I think thats practical.

I set up and paid my first bill on line.
This saves so much time, hassle and stamps. no wonder the postal service keeps raising prices!!!
I really think mailing payments was essentially throwing money away!

I saved 29.00 today. I called Dell to try to get them to give me my account number so I could set up on line payments. Well they would not give me my account number….but they did take the 29.00 late charge off!
And they will mail my account number.
So I hope my house person forwards it. She has been a bit unreliable lately. But I do know now the phone number to pay.

Subgoal  — 9 months ago

I’m making a subgoal, which is BIG, and maybe not so doable in the holiday season…
I’m going to try ot have 5K put into savings by December, to put 2 more K into my roth, as it is not really growing at an exponential rate. And I really do not want to work until 70….I’m just not sure I can do it, so I’ll be stretching…

I managed to purchase the 1.97 shower rings, rather than the animal themed ones which were 6.97.

In addition, I admired, but turned down multiple sheet sets at the store today.

Unfortunately somehow a bill got lost in the mail, so I got socked with a late payment….but the late payment was less than the sheets would have been.
Hmmmm.
