not too bad. It felt fine on the mill. I want to start trying to run outside soon, the morning weather now is super fabulous. Perfect for long runs even if i ca’nt do them, i am going to imagine them.
Its nice to be able to move with anormal gait again.

half a mile today it was a little painful but in general it was alright. and it feels better on my hip than the ellipitical.

Yes. I admit it. I ran today for 3 minutes. I’m still working on my right leg. If I counted ellipiticalling I’d be up there, but I don’t Howeverthe fact that I was semi able to run for 3 mintues is improvement. Lets see what happens on monday.
Iced it as it felt a little bit “funny” Hoping I can do it.

On Hold 4 weeks ago

since I have been injured. I am ellipiticalling like mad (one hour today). and swimming and on Tuesday My trainer and I are going to go running in the pool. But if it doesnt heal I am going to have to trian for a different marathon. Boo. Or run a 5 hour marathon. Not my thing. Running for 5 hours puts one at risk for big electrolyte imbalances a lot of fatigue and increases risk for injuries. We’ll see what I do.
I dont feel like I can count ellipitical SO…on hold. I might count pool running though.

five more miles. Still having a bit of trouble with my right leg. I do hope that resolves some day soon.
I should have went swimming, but i forgot goggles.
Still basking in my completion of the half I show off my “medal”
331 miles. and onwards to the Marathon.

I did it! I finished the Albequerque Half Marathon….mostly thanks to Monotreme.
It was a rough race with a hard start for me, The times are still not posted, but I think I did something pretty slow like 2:40 or worse.
Poor Monotreme put up with a lot of complaining and statements about “I’m starting to struggle now…”
It was defintiely an experience. I should be better prepared next time.
Considering it was my first race at this distance in forever, I had a fever/gi thing going on, and my right leg was not entirely healed, and the altitude was 5000 feet comared to sea level…. I think I did nicely and I did recieve a very unique medal!
total: 326.0

Adding a note time was 2:37:21 Pretty poor showing, but considering all that I was dealing with I think I did alright.
