no pun intended. but i’m doing a training program for a 5K and that has 3 run/walks per week so I’m killing two birds with one stone.
I spoke to a trainer at my local gym. I can’t do the jump start program, it’s only for people who have never done training at 24 Hour before. I was going to try to workout with her on Tuesday evenings and she was going to call me back to confirm the slot was open and she never did.
So I really don’t feel like giving work to someone who is a total flake and now that I’ve started the 5K I think I’ll just stick to that for a little while. Maybe I’ll try to do some training at the gym near work once my running progresses a little more.

Well, I spoke to the trainer and I can’t do this special introductory offer because I’ve done training at 24 Hour before. So, I may sign up for the full training thing but it’s more expensive so I wouldn’t be able to do as many sessions.
We’ll see… just need to go either way.

was doing okay at this goal, even had my husband going with me in the evenings semi regulary…and he hates the gym but wants to train to improve his mountain biking.
I just decided last week to sign up for a “jump start” training projgram at 24 Hour Fitness. Have contacted them and expect to be getting some details sorted out early next week hopefully to start by the following week. I’ve done training with a trainer before, so I’m mostly doing this to force myself to go 2x a week for 5 weeks (I’m not a flake when someone else is coutning on me so it’s a good motivator) and then take it on my own from there.
