I’m back. Missed you all greatly. Not sure how much I can catch up on. I’m seeing tons on new avatars and my head is already spinning :P

I had a wonderful time! CHOGM was a great success, especially the Youth Forum part. It was hectic and very, very tiring. I had to spend the whole day in bed to give my body a break and I’m still not 100%, but the world doesn’t stop so I’ve got to keep rolling. It was so hectic, there wasn’t one day I got to write as I said I would! One night I got as far as writing the date with all intentions to journal, then I fell asleep lol! But that aside, I wouldn’t change my experience for the world. It was great to come together with youths for such a great cause and CYF really gave me a sense of hope that I can indeed make a difference.

What else?? The ship was AMAZING!!!! I’ve got lots of pictures to share as well! I saw the Queen and did my “Royal wave” to her!! Met up with my UK friend…she is super cool! Met a group of classical music players and I’ll be working on a project so they can come back here to volunteer! Met some amazing people. I’m now part of a crew called the Smurfs…I’m “Busy Smurf”...go figure lol! Life will never be the same! I’ll try to write as much as I can over the next couple of days but school assignments are sitting here screaming at me, so I’m not sure how often I can be on! I’ve got some overdue ones too and I’m pushing my luck with my lecturers :(

Anyway, hope everyone is good….tell me what I missed, what have you been up to, so you guys can help me catch up.

I wish 43things could automatically justify our entries when we click “Save this entry”. I hate to see those jagged lines, especially in a long post. Also the capital letters in our goals. I know it’s because someone made the goal and entered it like that, but I should be able to change the first letter of a goal from common to capital and not have it change into an entirely different goal. Maybe I’m being too “Virgo” but it’s bothering me.

you know we can do this all night right??? :P

Of lately I’ve only been able to respond to comments made directly to me and to read a couple pages of subscriptions. I’m not able to keep up as I want and it’s killing me! Time is definitely not on my side. I need a vacation!

So after me being accepted to volunteer for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to be held later this month…I thought that was the height of my experience….but today I opened my email and I’ve been accepted to be on the Youth Forum as part of T&T’s delegation! I applied so long ago, and the drilling questions on the form had me worried about my chances. I can’t believe it!

For a while, I was faced with a critical decision of whether to go as a volunteer or to attend the Youth Forum! But after much deliberation (my mind couldn’t sit still in class), I’ve decided I’ll go to the Youth Forum.

This means that whatever we discuss and suggest will be handed to the Heads of Government to be considered when they finalize their decisions coming out of their meeting. I can be a part of something that may make a difference!!! The theme for this event is: “Partnering for a more equitable and sustainable future”. Discussions of how we can make a difference are already on it’s way on the Youth Forum’s Facebook page. I must say, it’s a little intimidating…but still very excited.

Youths from all fifty-three (53) Commonwealth Nations will also be here! It will be so very nice to connect with so many people and hear their views and share this experience with them. This is a major once in a lifetime opportunity!! I’m just in awe!!

Just left and came back…took me all of 15mins and I’m up two subscribers!!! Thanks guys! And Welcome! :)

I can feel the ‘hecticness’ coming on! It’s as though there’s now a smell or signs of when my life’s going to go into hectic mode and it might very well start this weekend. Right now I’m barely making entries and I just got time to skim my subscriptions…and you guys are having a whale of a time chatting away, might I add! :P

I hate this feeling. It’s a feeling of intenseness when online and that’s usually the sign that things are about to get fast! I just can’t sit and concentrate on one thing and be comfortable with what I’m doing b/c there are so much more to be done!

My only hope is that it lasts this weekend only and I can grasp some footing before the next upswing, which may last all the way into next year :(
