The cushy life of romance novelists

After writing a few romance/erotic books and starting a series, it will become hits among young impressionable girls and housewives everywhere and then the real deals will start coming in, and thats when the romance novelist is paid to travel and gets herself into certain situations simply for ‘research’. I wonder what the author of the sheik/sultan/harem books does for research! What a cushy life, huh?

But my research now is
A) reading romance and erotic novels (they aren’t my favorite to READ… but I need to know how to best write one)
B) incorporating more romance in my life. I don’t know how to do this while my bf is away, I guess I could start by observing a hot sweaty bod at the gym or something and writing down what I see, how it makes me feel. lol

need help finishing

I have soooo many unfinished novels!! I used to write for fun when I was 14 books with my friends in them under aliases (we were all super heros on a mission to fight off fashion victims and bad boyfriends lol) and they would love reading my stuff!! But then I’d sort of lose interest or not know what to do next and stop writing. Same for any other books I started writing since then.

Okay so can anyone relate?? What do you do to get back on track?? I know it’s too late to go back to past stories but I need help for what to do when I get stuck on my latest book!!

I know, sounds like a lifetime original.

This work in progress is about a recurring dream I have. It is a mystery suspense novel which is a writing style I have not done well in! (I have the paper grades to show then again I have not written a thriller since the 10th grade paper about some insane asylum sleep walker (who killed people in his sleep)).

My future lifetime movie is about a girl who’s young and madly in love one day but the next day her boyfriend has a religions epiphany. He is brainwashed by chauvanistic cult members who are repulsed by her carefree lifestyle.

She thinks she’ll do anything for him – he is soo manipulative yet she can’t get their past beyond her, this dreamy fantasy soul mate he was to her. She starts to get brainwashed by him because she just wants him to love her. After a lot of self analysis she realizes she is opressed and worth much more and they agree that she is doomed to hell and part ways.

With him out of the picture and her life back on track everything seems to fall back into place until she starts getting paranoid feelings and threatening letters, phone calls, emails, ect… she decides to take a trip to visit her old friends, to get away from it all.

I’ve been handwriting which I’ll probably regret when I am finished and then I have to type it all up lol.
