I thought Rebecca was SO good!!

It’s about the new wife of this man who is a widower. He takes her back to his, uh, castle to live with him and she starts to feel overshadowed byt he ghost of his wife. She’s everywhere – embroidered ‘r’s, Rebecca’s stationary, the image of her as a glamourous starlett socialite (quite the opposite of his humble and nervous new wife) – and the creepy manipulative Rebecca obsessed house keeper.

Puzzling thing is – you never know the main girl’s name!!! It’s all about Rebecca!! You can just feel her jealousy…

The film was twisted – it was so good!!

The weekend Alfred Hitchock Bithday Movie Marathon is on!!!

I own the rear window, seen Physco and remember watching Hitcock films when I was young on sci-fi I think but I was like 7 so don’t remember lol. He was a brilliant director and most of these movies were made during the height of hollywood which I just love this era of film making!!

I just saw The Birds, Roped, and The Paradine Case.

Rear Window is still my favorite. It is so voyeuristic. Admit it, you have this secret desire to spy on the people in their windows, see how they live. It is rather his innocent way to pass time, watch and make up stories about people, until he suspects a murder. Again I love the cast – and I adore Grace Kelly (My mom thinks I’m like her!! I agree especcialy when she says “Well, if there’s one thing I know, it’s how to wear the proper clothes”) That movie was very intelligent and witty too.

Now I am watching The trouble with Harry.
