garden

I planted tons of flower seeds over a month ago and got a new ground flag plus added an accent light and a brick border to my garden, but the flowers aren’t growing yet. I almost had a purple one, but it died, because I haven’t been watering it like I should. I guess you could say I’ve neglected it a bit.
My Spider Plant is still alive and growing. I think I’m about ready to add a 2nd small house plant!

January 2008, I moved into housing (this being my “first” own place at 23 years old at the time – now 24). They supply us with a “very small” AREA outside by our front porch to plant whatever we want (well, as long as its legal of course, hehe). Anyway, my first year was decent for NOT EVER really getting “into” gardening before in my life. I had some magnificent sunflowers in which I had to end up cutting down along with tons of different colored flowers (keep in mind, I’m just beginning, so I don’t my flowers. I don’t even know what I planted. They were seeds.) I had some red and white flowers around my flag that’s stuck in the ground, and the area came with some white spongie “looking” plant that stays there all year round. It grew some little yellow flowers on it during the summer. (maybe somebody can fill me in on what that is???) I’ll have to start sooner next year and take some pictures, because in 2008, I didn’t have much blooming until mid to late summer and then everything was dead – BUT IT WAS GOOD WHILE IT LASTED, and I look forward to this year!

P.S. By the way, I’ve also kept a green spider plant alive in my apt. for the past 6 mos. It hasn’t grown “much” though. Pretty good for never doing this kindof thing before though. Wish me Luck! Thanx!
