I live close to the sea and yesterday I climbed a flight of steps to the top of the cliffs. I counted them as I went, 92.

Went out leafletting again today with a group of friends. I got so hot perspiration was starting to run down my face.

Today I had leaflets to deliver around my neighborhood, a lot of houses with steps up to their door and a few flats (apartments to our American friends). The steps are the real killers, first up and then down, house after house, my poor knees didn’t know what they were doing! Came home and went to sleep. I’ve got to do it again for the next couple of days, so that’s my exercise sorted for a while.



Walking burns fat

Just watched a program on the BBC which showed that walking burnt more fat than running, although of course running has many other benefits. I can’t remember how it all worked, but as I walk and never run, I’m feeling good.

Yesterday we were warned of bad weather with high winds and heavy rain, so I did a lot of exercise harvesting any fruit or vegetables that might get damaged. Digging potatoes works up a sweat!

Exercise regularly. I used to exercise far more than I do now. My work was very active, now a I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. I need to think more about my health. Today To am going to combine this wish with another “Read more books”. I going to the library and I am walking.
