SMART Goal Update - February 2012

Specific:
Scan photos from my mother’s and grandmother’s photos and put them on a CDs to distribute. This also has related aims of finding photos I myself don’t need to hold onto and creating a photo album or book for my uncle and possibly others.

Measurable:
I want to create a CD of family photos to distribute. (I may want to create more than 1 CD but this goal will be met if I create 1.)

Achievable:
It is achievable. I am not sure how many photos a CD will hold, but it is a finite number.

Realistic:
This is a realistic goal, but it’s so low on my priority list right now that it is not realistic to expect to spend time on it. This is a good project to do after Estate papers.

Timely:
There isn’t a specific time-sensitive deadline for this.

Steps:
Put together kit w/ label, index cards and ballpoint pen
Go through photos in boxes and shelves and identify photos to put together (maybe also identify photos to just send people).
Go through photos in mom’s albums.
Go through photos in Danda’s albums.
Get scanner to talk to computer.
Scan photos.
Backup photos to harddrive.
Put photos on CD.
Copy CD.
Identify photos for photo album.
Either print and insert into an album, or create a photo book to send people.

Steps done:

Next step:
Put together photo sorting kit w/ labels, index cards and ballpoint pen

SMART Goal update - December 2011

Day 7 Goal: Transfer old photos to CD
Specific:

Realistic:
This is a realistic goal, but it’s so low on my priority list right now that it is not realistic to expect to spend time on it. This is a good project to do after Estate papers and after J is in college.

Timely:
I’d like to have this done for Christmas, so considering the above-mentioned factors, it is something to do in September.

Steps:
Go through photos in boxes and shelves and identify photos to put together (maybe also identify photos to just send people).
Get scanner to talk to computer.
Scan photos.
Backup photos to harddrive.
Put photos on CD.
Copy CD.
Identify photos for photo album.
Either print and insert into an album, or create a photo book to send people.

Schedule:
Put “go through photos in mom’s albums” on schedule.

Steps done:
Add goal to September 7, 2011.

Next step:
Put together kit w/ label, index cards and ballpoint pen
Go through photos in mom’s albums (note to scan, to store, to get rid of)
Make stack/shoebox of 100 photos to sort
